The character of the Route:

This long route, which starts from the legend-filled streets of Kırşehir, the city of shrines, follows the quiet and serene steppe roads and reaches its highest point on the slopes of Baran Mountain (41.8km). After visiting Kaman District, famous for its walnuts, the route continues in a calm manner and ends at the huge pond of Hirfanlı Dam, which was created by accumulating the waters of Kızılırmak and resembles an inland sea.

Notes to Travelers:

• You can find cute souvenirs and kitchenware made of onyx in Kırşehir, which has been processing onyx stone since 1944.
• You can visit Ahi Evran Mosque and Tomb, Imaret Mosque-Sheikh Suleiman's Tomb, Melikgazi Tomb, Cacabey Tomb, Muhterem Hatun Tomb, Aşık Pasha Tomb and Fatma Hatun Tomb. Female visitors must carry a scarf with them to use when visiting the tomb.
• In the place opened with the renovation of the Old Governor's Mansion, you can visit sections from the lives and works of masters of words from Dede Korkut to Pir Sultan Abdal, from Karacaoğlan to Neşet Ertaş, as well as musical instruments used from past to present.
• You can visit the museum of the world-famous musician, Neşet Ertaş, in Kırşehir, Turkey's first and only UNESCO-registered music city. You can take pleasant photographs at Kesikköprü Caravanserai, which was built by Nurettin Caca, Emir of Kırşehir, during the reign of Sultan Gıyasettin Keyhüsrev II in 1251.
• You can visit the museum built for the world-famous musician, Neşet Ertaş.
• You can taste delicious Kırşehir dishes such as beetroot whipped cream, lepe, borani, Çirleme and Çir dessert.
• You can benefit from the healing waters of the thermal springs located in Kırşehir city center.
• You can photograph the magnificent view of the castle known as Kuş Castle, located in Ömer Hacılı Village.
• You can visit the Kaman Kalehöyük Archeology Museum, built with the cooperation of the Japanese and Turkish governments and where the city's 5 thousand years of history is exhibited. There is an entrance fee.
• You can visit the Japanese Garden in Kaman, inspired by a geographical region in China and tended by the Japanese.
• You can taste Kaman's famous walnuts and try Kaman's butter bun, which is available in abundance on special occasions.
• You can only buy instruments made in the order of Neşat Ertaş, the famous poet of Anatolia, in this region.
• You can taste Kaman's local dish, besmechi (meatballs with bulgur cooked on the stove).
• You can swim in the cool waters of Hirfanlı Dam.
• Make sure you take enough water and snacks with you, as you won't be able to refuel on the road.
• At the end of the ride, you can swim in the pond of Hirfanlı Dam, which resembles a huge lake.
• Before you hit the road, make sure you have enough snacks and water for the long drive.
