Characteristics of the Route:

The route starts from Urgup, the historical trade center of Cappadocia, follows thousands of years of the adventure of faith and continues on smooth and enjoyable trails. The route passes by Devrent Valley, also known as the "Valley of Dreams", which pushes the limits of the mind. Devrent resembles an exhibition full of natural sculptures. After a slight descent and a pleasant 2% ascent, Zelve welcomes you with its cave monastery, mosque, churches, houses, and mill like an Open Air Museum.

After a short ride, the route reaches the pearl of Cappadocia, Pasabaglari Archeological Site, sometimes referred to as the "Valley of Monks". Adorned with the incredible stories of monks and aesthetic fairy chimneys, the route passes by Cavusin, which contains the present and history together, and ends in Goreme, included in UNESCO World Heritage List as a blend of geography and history.

This route, which presents the history engraved in caves/rocks to sports lovers in surreal geography, is recommended for all cyclists riding a basic level road bike.

Notes to Travelers:

If you start cycling at sunrise, you can ride with hot air balloons above you.

You can visit Devrent Valley on the route, free of charge.

You can try one of the restaurants with different styles in Cavusin.

There is an entry fee to Zelve Open Air Museum and Pasabaglari Archeological Sites both can be visited with a single ticket and the museum card is valid.

You can find beverages suitable to your taste such as tea, coffee, and fruit juice in cafes, which you will see throughout the route.

Even though you will often pass by grocery stores and markets where you can find water, keep your bicycle bottle full.

You may need a bicycle lock while visiting the archaeological sites.

You can use the water, toilet, shower, and kitchen facilities in campsites, which also have a modest swimming pool.If you have the opportunity and time, you can leave your belongings at the campsite before you leave.
