Characteristics of the Route:

The route starts in Cat town center and goes along with the pleasure of lush dirt roads. The route follows a path with great sceneries for photography enthusiasts, passes by huge dovecotes that hosted thousands of pigeons, and continues on the valley floor. The route is filled with hawthorn, oleaster, and rosehip bushes and ends in the medieval Aciksaray ruins, which take us to the world of dreams with its grand halls, stables, a dozen of independent churches and wineries.

Notes to Travelers:

You can visit Aciksaray Archeological Site in the morning to take photos by taking advantage of the sunlight. Entry is free of charge. (The light comes from the opposite angle in the afternoon).

If you are hiking in early spring, you can see the blooming Thymus cappadocicus, one of the endemic plants of Cappadocia.

After completing the route, you can visit St. Jean Church. * There is an entry fee and the museum card is not valid.
