Goreme, with the adventure of faith throughout history embedded in its incredible geography with the colours of stones, roots, and fruits, is on the UNESCO Heritage List. The route starts in this impressive region, goes straight towards the valleys surrounding Bozdag, and continues on the narrow paths and tunnels of Kizilcukur. St. Theodoros Trion Church (Uzumlu Kilise), located next to the small cafe you will reach at the end of the trail, has unique early-period wall paintings.

Make sure your water bottle is full as you won't find water on the route.

If you are hiking in early spring, you can see Convolvulus assyricus (yastikcik), an endemic species of Turkey, in May-June, Hedysarum cappadocicum (tatlitirfil) in May-August, and Macrotomia densiflora (koca egnik) on rocky and stony slopes.

The pre-Iconoclastic era murals of St. Theodoros Trion Church, which you will visit at the end of the route, are quite unique and impressive.

The point at the end of the trail is a popular sunset point.
