The Azm-i Millî Flour Factory, founded on August 3, 1924 in Aksaray, stands as one of the most remarkable landmarks of Turkey’s early Republican industrial heritage. Once powered by its own hydroelectric plant at the Mamasın Dam, the factory operated until 1997 and still preserves its impressive stone masonry, mosaic floors, and original machinery.

Today, following a meticulous restoration by Aksaray Municipality, the building has been transformed into the Azmi Millî Science and Industry Museum, offering visitors a unique journey into early 20th-century production and technology. Inside the museum, each floor presents a different stage of the flour-making process, enriched with informative panels, archival photographs, detailed models, and multimedia displays.

The entrance area introduces the factory’s significance within Aksaray’s urban history and explains the meaning of its name, “the nation’s resolve,” a phrase that captures the determined spirit of the young Republic. With its immersive exhibition design and educational atmosphere, the museum has become an unforgettable cultural stop for anyone visiting Aksaray.
